Woman Centered brings deep experience advancing women’s health through innovation, policy, and healthcare leadership, informed by decades of engagement across clinical, corporate, and entrepreneurial environments. We operate at the intersection of femtech, public policy, and health system innovation, shaping strategies and solutions grounded in the real-world needs of women. Our work is driven by a commitment to addressing persistent gaps in research, care delivery, and reimbursement that continue to impact women disproportionately. We contribute regularly to national panels, policy discussions, and advisory forums focused on health equity, innovation, and the responsible scaling of women-centered solutions.

As the host of the Beyond the Paper Gown podcast, Mitzi amplifies the voices shaping the future of women’s health—from founders and clinicians to policymakers and investors. Through interviews, media appearances, and speaking engagements, she explores the realities behind innovation in women’s health, moving beyond theory into lived experience, leadership, and impact. Her media work creates space for nuanced conversations that challenge outdated systems and spotlight the ideas—and people—driving meaningful change.
Investing
Woman Centered supports early-stage women’s health ventures through strategic investment and mentorship, informed by active participation in investment and the broader FemTech ecosystem. Our investment approach prioritizes founders and companies developing solutions to address significant unmet needs in women’s health, areas that have historically received a disproportionate share of funding. Through the deployment of capital, strategic guidance, and access to relevant networks, we contribute to the growth and scalability of the next generation of women-focused healthcare innovations.
About our Founder and CEO
Mitzi Krockover, MD
As an internist and prominent voice in women's health, Dr. Krockover's distinguished career includes serving as Founding Medical Director of the Iris Cantor-UCLA Women's Health Center—designated a Center of Excellence in Women's Health by the Department of Health and Human Services. She later advanced women's health initiatives as Vice President of Women's Health at Humana Inc. environments including corporations, startups, healthcare systems, government, academia and non-profits.
​Equity, advocacy and service are important to Dr. Krockover. She is a member of the boards of the Black Women's Health Imperative and also serves on Springboard's Women's Health Innovation Council, the Gates Foundation-sponsored Women's Health Innovation Equity Forum, and the leadership committee of Women's Health Advocates. She co-founded FemtechAZ to create a hub for women's health innovation in Arizona and improve the health status of women there and beyond.

​Dr. Krockover brings this wealth of expertise to Woman Centered, where she advises organizations, speaks on women's health and women's health innovation, and leads initiatives to advance healthcare transformation. Her mission to improve women's health and wellbeing informs her approach to health care delivery, technology and policy. She strongly believes that improving women's health is good for everyone and this belief motivates her work in multiple environments including corporations, startups, healthcare systems, government, academia and non-profits.
